Commenting is free and open to any and all participants. As it stands now, I have moderation turned on for posts older than 7 days just to avoid that extra spam in the archives. I do review all comments and will step in if necessary to help calmness prevail. Basically, if you want to comment, you had better be civil about it. Remember, if you're interacting with strangers that it's much safer not to assume motivations and meanings. Ask for clarification if you need it. A good rule of thumb is to pretend that you're having a face to face meeting in a coffee shop ("Would I call a stranger rude names in public?").
This place can be a community and I want it to be a community. I touch on serious issues as well as light-hearted ones but I want all participants to have a vested interest in calm, cool, collected debate and not invective or vitriol.
